Complete RULIXY Guide
A single reference for understanding RULIXY, getting started with the wheel and quickly finding its streaming, Battle Royale, Hype, Overlay, Stream Deck, privacy and security features.
1. What RULIXY is
RULIXY is an interactive online wheel for choosing names or options at random. It runs in the browser and combines a general-purpose wheel with tools for streamers, gamers, giveaways, classrooms and elimination formats. The current release is RULIXY V1.3 STABLE.

3. Getting started

4. Participants
The list defines what can be selected on the next spin. Before an important activity, check spelling, duplicates and rules. In classrooms or public contexts, avoid entering unnecessary personal information. See the classroom name wheel guide for education-specific advice.
5. Wheel styles
V1.3 includes three visual styles. Classic Pro prioritizes balance and depth; Neon Gaming uses a stronger technology-inspired look for streaming; and Clean / Minimal reduces effects for a restrained presentation. The segment palette uses up to 12 colors.
6. Themes and appearance
Settings → Appearance changes presentation without changing winner selection. The chosen style is preserved in settings, included in export/import and synchronized with the Overlay. With very large lists RULIXY may simplify some gradients to preserve rendering performance.
7. Spin and result
The animation does not decide the winner. RULIXY first selects an entry and then animates the wheel toward it. Device speed and minor visual differences therefore do not determine the result.
8. Result confirmation
Confirmation separates the visual spin from final application of the result. In giveaways and live streams this gives you a moment to verify that the entry follows the announced rules before continuing. If your activity requires unique winners, enable the relevant removal behavior before starting.
9. Battle Royale
Battle Royale turns the wheel into an elimination sequence: the selected entry is removed until TOP 3, FINAL and champion stages are reached. Because this is the opposite of a traditional winner draw, explain the rule before the first spin.

10. Hype
Hype Mode is designed for moments that need a more dramatic presentation than a normal spin, such as finals, important prizes or the end of a challenge. It changes presentation, not the random-selection method.
11. Settings
On desktop the settings panel uses additional width to improve Participants, Appearance and Stream layouts. Tablet and mobile views collapse to one column when appropriate and keep tabs horizontally scrollable. The same capabilities remain available without forcing the desktop layout onto small screens.
12. OBS Studio
RULIXY creates an independent web Overlay for an OBS Browser Source. Presets include 16:9 (1920×1080), 9:16 (1080×1920), 1:1 (1080×1080) and Wheel only (700×700), with transparent or Chroma backgrounds.

13. TikTok LIVE Studio
The same Overlay architecture can work in TikTok LIVE Studio when your installation provides a compatible Web/Link source. For vertical scenes, 9:16 is the usual starting point; Wheel only works well when your layout already contains camera, chat or other elements.

14. Stream Deck and remote control
RULIXY can create temporary remote controls for SPIN, SHOW, HIDE and TOGGLE. Treat URLs and tokens as private credentials. Regenerate access if they are accidentally shared.

Hotkeys are ignored while you type in editable fields to prevent accidental actions.
16. Randomness and security
Winner selection uses crypto.getRandomValues() with rejection sampling. This avoids simple modulo bias when the random range does not divide evenly by the number of entries. Secure selection is separate from the animation.

17. Privacy
RULIXY runs mainly in the browser. Lists, preferences and other local data remain there unless you voluntarily enable a feature that requires temporary synchronization, such as Overlay. Google Analytics loads only after Analytics consent; see the Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy for the applicable details.
18. Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. The current version can be used directly in a browser.
Can RULIXY repeat a name?
Yes. An independent spin may select an entry again while it remains in the list. Remove selected entries after each spin when you need unique winners.
Does the animation decide the winner?
No. RULIXY selects the result first and adjusts the animation afterward.
Can I use RULIXY on mobile?
Yes. The interface adapts to phones and tablets; some streaming controls move into Settings to keep the main screen clean.
