RULIXY Stream Deck and remote control

Trigger essential RULIXY actions from dedicated buttons without interrupting your OBS or TikTok LIVE Studio workflow.

Updated · September 16, 2026 · RULIXY V1.3 STABLE

What remote control solves

During a live stream, switching back to the browser every time you want to spin or reveal the Overlay can break your flow. RULIXY remote control reduces that context switching: you can prepare dedicated actions and trigger them from a Stream Deck or another tool that can send a simple web request. The main RULIXY window remains the control center; remote buttons only send authorized commands to a temporary session.

Before you configure it

The four available actions

🎯 SPIN

Starts a spin through the same RULIXY selection engine. If the Overlay was hidden, RULIXY reveals it before the spin.

👁️ SHOW

Makes the Overlay visible without selecting anything. Useful when introducing the wheel to viewers.

🙈 HIDE

Removes the Overlay after the interaction so the rest of your scene has more space.

🔄 TOGGLE

Switches between visible and hidden. Useful when you want one physical visibility button.

Recommended Stream Deck setup

Create one button per action and use an HTTP/Web Request action or plugin that can send a GET request to the URL generated by RULIXY. Give each button an unambiguous name such as RULIXY · Spin or RULIXY · Hide. Distinct icons help prevent mistakes when you are moving quickly during a live show.

Test every URL after adding it. Spin should follow the same result flow as clicking SPIN inside RULIXY. Show, Hide and Toggle should not edit participants or history; they only change the Overlay visibility state.

Protect the token

The token is a credential. Anyone who sees a complete remote URL may be able to trigger that action while the session is valid. Do not publish screenshots containing the URL, save it in public documents or paste it into stream chat. If you believe it was exposed, use Regenerate token. The previous links become invalid and your Stream Deck buttons must be updated.

A safe pre-stream checklist

Open RULIXY and verify your list and game mode.
Enable remote control and confirm its status.
Test SPIN, SHOW and HIDE before going live.
Open OBS or TikTok LIVE Studio and verify the Overlay connection.
During the stream, avoid regenerating the token unless you actually need to.

What happens when RULIXY is closed

Remote control does not replace the main application. When RULIXY is closed, the browser no longer keeps the normal control state available for the session. Keep the Control page open even if OBS or TikTok LIVE Studio covers it on screen.

Troubleshooting

The button does nothing

Make sure remote control is still enabled and that your button uses a URL from the current token. Old URLs stop working after token regeneration.

SPIN works but I cannot see the wheel

Check the Overlay connection. A command can reach the Control while the OBS/TikTok web source is disconnected or still loading an older Overlay URL.

I want one button for visibility

Use TOGGLE. If your workflow requires certainty about the final state, separate SHOW and HIDE buttons are safer.

When hotkeys are better

If your hands are already on the keyboard, RULIXY hotkeys may be faster: SPACE spins and H toggles the Overlay. Stream Deck is most useful when you want dedicated physical controls, when a game already uses many keyboard shortcuts or when reducing accidental key presses matters.

Remote-control privacy

Remote commands represent actions such as spin, show, hide or toggle and do not need to contain your entire participant list. Still, treat remote URLs as private credentials. The RULIXY privacy guide explains what stays in the browser and which features use temporary synchronization.
