How to use RULIXY Hype Mode without changing the draw
Add visual and audio tension to important moments while keeping random selection unchanged.
What Hype Mode is
Hype Mode changes the presentation of a spin to add more tension to an important moment. It does not replace random selection and does not choose the winner: RULIXY determines the result through its selection engine, while Hype changes only the visual and audio pacing of the reveal. That separation matters when you want a more dramatic presentation without changing the underlying rules.
When it works best
🏆 Finals
Use it for the last Battle Royale spin or a main prize.
🎁 Featured giveaways
Give extra weight to a key draw without slowing every spin.
🎮 Special challenges
Useful when one choice changes the match or defines a major challenge.
🎥 Stream moments
Reserve the effect for moments that actually benefit from a dramatic pause.
Why you should not use it for every spin
If every selection has the same dramatic pacing, the effect loses impact and a long activity can become slow. Use normal mode for routine rounds and enable Hype for semifinals, finals or major prizes. In a large Battle Royale, that combination keeps early eliminations moving and makes the final stage feel different.
Hype and random selection are separate layers
The presentation does not change probability. RULIXY determines the result before the animation and then moves the wheel to the chosen segment. The winner is not selected by animation duration, device speed or the exact frame when the wheel stops. Read the fair-randomness guide if you want the full technical explanation.
Use audio deliberately
Settings → Audio lets you keep the built-in sounds or use custom victory, elimination and champion sounds. Before going live, compare their level with your microphone, music, gameplay and alerts. An effect that is too loud can cover your reaction; one that is too quiet can disappear inside a busy scene.
Test in the real scene
Hype in 16:9 and 9:16
Horizontal scenes usually have more room around the wheel. In 9:16, pay extra attention to camera placement, comments and native platform UI. Use the OBS or TikTok LIVE Studio preview to make sure the celebration remains visible and does not cover important information.
Battle Royale: save the tension for the end
A practical pattern is to use normal spins for early eliminations and switch to Hype at TOP 3 or the final. The change of pacing signals to viewers that the activity has entered its decisive stage. For very fast streams, you can reserve Hype only for the champion reveal.
Giveaways: rules first, spectacle second
For a real giveaway, define eligibility, repeat-winner rules and invalid-entry handling before the first spin. Hype should never be a reason to repeat a valid result just because the outcome was unexpected. If rerolls are allowed, the condition should be published in advance.
Troubleshooting
The animation feels too long
Use normal mode for routine rounds and Hype only for one or two key moments. RULIXY is designed to support both pacing styles.
The audio does not fit the stream
Restore the original sounds or replace your custom files. Test with the actual scene levels rather than judging the sound in isolation.
The Overlay misses the celebration
Verify that the source uses the current URL, that the Overlay is connected and that the selected preset leaves enough space. If you regenerated the Overlay link, update it in the web source.
A simple production rule
Selective Hype usually works better. If normal spins handle most of the activity and the special effect is reserved for the small number of truly important moments, viewers can feel the difference without the wheel overwhelming the entire stream.
